Who We Are

Always looking for ways to improve things my neighbor had an F350 with a mid-size truck cap.  He was always asking me to help him remove his camper shell and put it back on.  Although he had a garage he could not fit his truck inside to make a stationary hoist and he did not have a carport or any structure to build a hoist system.  I saw a problem that needed to be solved.

A friend of mine had a daughter in college about 3 hours from where he lived.  Several times his daughter surprised him when he arrived indicating she needed help moving.  But, with his truck cap it was very difficult to use the bed of his truck.

When I had my truck cap it was a bit of a pain to remove and reinstall the truck cap so I could use the bed of my truck to haul firewood and mulch. I didn’t have a garage that would fit my truck and I didn’t have a carport.

I looked for solutions on the internet but none of them met the full need to be able to remove the truck cap anywhere. So I set out for develop a portable hoist. After several designs we settled on tripod legs and a simple winch. We wanted it to be portable so you can put it in a short bed truck to be used anywhere, anytime.

FROM TRUCK CAPS TO JEEPS & BRONCOS

As I shared my hoist idea with friends and colleagues, I kept hearing the same thing: “You need to create that for Jeeps and Broncos.” That got me studying how the Hoist could help Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco owners get even more out of their vehicles. The result? An easier way to go topless and enjoy open-air driving on those beautiful days.
